If you drive, you will be able to visit Figeac & its museum dedicated to Champollion (who deciphered the egyptian hieroglyphs thanks to the Rosetta stone), Saint Cirq Lapopie and its steep rock dominating river Lot, Cahors and its ancient bridge, the pont Valentré, the Padirac trough fault and the exceptional site of Rocamadour, Cordes sur Ciel with a rare venitian architecture and many other marvels.
Hiking or riding should be particularly pleasant on the plateau, with its particular vegetation and the cicada singing, enjoying a hot and dry summertime climate.
